FREE RESOURCES YOUR CASEWORKER PROBABLY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT (& MIGHT NOT TELL YOU ABOUT EVEN IF THEY DO KNOW)

Have you ever wondered where to get help with getting food, computer training, jobhunting, or any number of other resources? When you're in need, it can feel like there's nowhere to turn, or the resources are already stretched too thin. Two publications, both free, may be helpful. They're both online, but can be downloaded onto your computer (or a usb drive or tablet). The links are below.

STREET SHEETS

Street Sheets are NCS's pocket-sized guides to neighborhood resources such as free meals, shelter, treatment for substance use or mental health, and medical clinics. They are currently available for the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Midtown, and Downtown in English and Spanish.

Street Sheets are commonly distributed at free meal programs, houses of worship, community centers, ERs, local politician’s offices, and by YOU. Join NCS in our mission by carrying a few Street Sheets with you and handing them out to those in need of services on the subway or street.
